Mission Statement
My mission is to help people find their ultimate happiness regardless of what obstacles life throws at us. Life can be full of chaos, and it can be difficult to navigate these challenges. I believe that everyone deserves and can find their true happy.
This mission is inspired by my own personal journey of finding happiness despite the many challenges and obstacles life has thrown my way. I have experienced firsthand the power of having a clear vision of my dreams and goals, and the importance of organizing my life and mind in order to achieve them. I believe that happiness is not just a fleeting emotion, but a state of being that can be achieved through intentional choices and actions.
My mission is to guide people to their true happiness by providing them with the tools and resources they need to overcome any obstacle that comes their way.
About Healthy Serenity and Me
Here at Healthy Serenity, it’s all about finding our truest “Happy”; it’s about living healthy while living the lifestyle we choose. We all have different ideas of what a satisfying lifestyle is; and no matter what lifestyle we choose, there is one commonality. We all wish to live a healthy, happy life. Living healthily is more than just strict exercise and diet – it is the way we live, feel, smile, work, play and interact with the world. Healthy Serenity strives to give the information, hints, tips, and avenues to do just that, finding the results you are looking for; regardless of what roadblocks life may place in front of us during this journey.
A Little Background
I grew up in New England along the coast. Both the ocean and the woods were a major part of my life and playground. I moved to the West Coast in 2014 and spend a good portion of my time in the forests. Growing up, we were active and spent as much time as possible outdoors. We had a garden, raised chickens, rabbits and at one point even had a pig!
I have always loved hiking, camping, boating etc., and still enjoy hiking, camping and UTV riding now.
Feeling good, having high spirits, and feeling happy come in part with being healthy. If you are not feeling well then feeling down, frustrated, and a lack of energy can be the result. Some may disagree with me or have other reasons they could share that differ from what I’ve said here, and your opinions, ideas and input are welcome.
A Journey & Goal
Exercising, eating right and balancing work and/or school with the rest of your life isn’t always easy, especially now with so many changes and so much having been changed from covid-19. Shutdowns and shortages changed the way we think, interact and live. Some of us may still be working normally regardless of the affects covid-19 had on our work and school lives, other’s lives have been turned upside down, but the changes our world is seeing today affect us all. The way we shop, eat, exercise, interact and share has been interrupted and abruptly changed. My life had changed when I moved approximately 3,000 miles, but COVID-19 had made even more changes that needed adjusting to. Going to the barber or hairdresser, using the gym and eating out on a whim was no longer an option, as it was at the beginning of that year. Now, I do my own hair, exercise at home and hardly go out to eat. This change hadn’t reversed simply because the Covid-19 scares and scarcity were over. The upside? Most of us are cooking more ‘home cooked’ meals, finding closer family dynamics and learning more technology to stay abreast of what’s going on around us and keeping in touch with those we can no longer see so easily, whether it’s due to basic life changes or distance.
Keeping what I like to call a healthy serenity may seem harder today. Adjusting to the changes and even taking advantage of those changes can help us either find a new direction to stay healthy or regardless of the changes remain healthy. Either way, our routines and activities are, for the most part, no longer the same. Exploring other options, avenues and ideas are what many of us, including myself, are looking for. It is a continuous journey.
I am always striving to keep my health, not only as a doctor may suggest, but of mind, body and soul. My chosen lifestyle is a little more laid back, the ability to always take in the beauty of nature and smile every day. Balancing work and life can, at times, be tricky, but with goals in place and the knowledge of how I wish to live my life makes the journey easier and more exciting. There are those moments or pieces of times when we are searching for assistance and information to find our desired results during this journey. I want to share the information I have found and continue to find; my wins, tips, and knowledge for all those who are looking for answers.
I have found my “happy” even before Covid-19, adjusted to keep it during this trying time, and still find it on a daily basis today.
A Journey Traveled Together
Any journey we take in our lives does not have to be done alone. Even with today’s changes due to COVID-19, we have the ability and technology to travel these roads together. Hopefully we can travel these roads together here, finding shared laughter, stories, ideas, and a new way of reaching our goals in today’s ever-changing world.
